Creative Learning at the Lyceum is about engaging the community in the life of the theatre; it is about inspiring, educating and entertaining people from all walks of life and all ages to engage with theatre and drama in some form. Our work involves anything that is not directly watching a production. We offer one-off workshops, longer term projects, backstage tours, specialist workshops, CPD careers events, youth theatre, talks, discussion, art classes and residencies from visiting companies. We work in partnerships with other theatres, arts organisations and cultural venues from Edinburgh and beyond.
CREATIVITY AND DISCOVERY FOR EVERYONE
Every year The Lyceum engages with young people in Edinburgh, the Lothians and beyond, enhance your enjoyment of theatre by taking part in our wide-ranging Creative Learning programme. Lyceum Creative Learning covers areas such as working with schools, courses and classes for adults, and talks and events for everyone. Our Creative Learning department is also responsible for the Lyceum Youth Theatre and works on engagement projects with community groups.
