'As an Edinburgh born and bred girl, I regularly attended The Lyceum in the 1950s to see the Wilson Barrett Players performing weekly Rep. Little did I imagine that later, as a professional actress,  I would tread those same boards. I appeared in She Stoops to Conquer directed by Clive Perry, The Killing of Sister George directed by Joan Knight, and in Richard Eyre's productions of The Chippit Chantie, Juno and the Paycock and a Festival play, staring Jack Shepherd of which the title escapes me!  All memorable experiences!'
