Seven Against Edinburgh Casting Call

Victorian Edinburgh. Present day Edinburgh. What do the two have in common? Seven women who will stop at nothing to make change. But will Edinburgh stop them?

We are looking for a team of 12 young people to be part of this exciting new studio production written by Becky Hope-Palmer. Taking the story of the first female students to be matriculated as undergraduates in any British University as inspiration, Seven Against Edinburgh is being presented in April 2022 and is open to young people aged 16-21 (you must be 16 on or by 1st January 2021). You do not have to have prior experience to be a part of this show; just a passion for telling big stories!

There are two ways you can get involved:

We are looking for a cast of 9 female-identifying Actor-Musicians to take on a range of lead and supporting performance roles. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday and Friday evenings throughout January - March 2022 and the production will provide the opportunity to combine different performance and musical skills as an ensemble.

We are also offering 3 learning roles for Young Creatives looking to gain experience working with professionals on a studio show. The time commitment for these will vary depending on the role.

The emphasis of all twelve roles is learning and development for those without professional training, and those with little or no performance experience are encouraged to apply.

More information on both opportunities, including how to apply, can be found on the pages below. Please note that all roles are unpaid.
