Life Long Learning

We’re delighted to be offering a new strand of sessions and workshops for adults in 2017 to inspire those of you keen to do more than simply watch a show. They offer opportunities to engage with The Lyceum in a practical and fun way.

ACTING WORKSHOP
Seen a production and want to try to perform a few scenes yourself? This is the practical workshop for you. You’ll explore the current Lyceum production with one of our Drama Artists and explore key scenes and acting styles, from the farce and melodrama of Noël Coward to the pacing and dialogue of Shakespeare. These sessions offer an even deeper insight into each show and a great opportunity to learn new skills.
• Suitable for 18+ and any level of
experience.
• Duration 90 minutes

Saturdays, 10.30am

SCRIPT CLUB
This group is for anyone who likes the idea of a book group, but has always wanted one for plays! Rather than reading the book, you come and see the show and then have the chance to talk about it with some of your fellow audience members. The discussion will be chaired by one of The Lyceum’s Creative Learning team who’ll be able to shed light on how the production came together.
• Suitable for all ages 18+
• Duration 90 minutes

Wednesdays straight after the matinee performance - times to be confirmed in due course.
