MASTER CLASSES
Acting / Directing / Improvisation
 

All workshops run on Saturdays from 10.30am – 4.30pm

Develop
This workshop is a fun introduction to the skills and techniques of theatre making. You will work on building a toolkit to take away with you that you can utilise confidently and meet some like-minded people along the way.

Progress
For those with some experience who are looking to develop their knowledge and widen their practical skills. Spend the day deepening understanding, discussing techniques and experimenting in a professional and relaxed environment. Leaders of the classes - to be announced. 

Steven McNicoll
Steven has appeared on both screen and stage and has a number of Lyceum credits to his name such as Romeo and Juliet, The Importance of Being Earnest and more recently our Edinburgh International Festival production of Rhinoceros which will return to our stage in March.

Wils Wilson
Wils is The Lyceum’s Associate Artist and has been working alongside our Artistic Director, David Greig for a number of years. She has directed for the National Theatre of Great Britain, the Royal Court and the National Theatre of Scotland. Wils has most recently directed Cockpit and Wind Resistance for The Lyceum stage.

Advance
For those who are keen to expand their current skill set for personal development. These workshops will look at more complex techniques, pushing  participants to expand their understanding and practice.  Leaders of the classes - to be announced. 

Benny Baxter-Young
Benny’s career has spanned across television, theatre as well as film; most notably Chariots of Fire, Coronation Street and Taggart. Benny has also performed on The Lyceum stage in Waiting for Godot and Hay Fever.

Tony Cownie
Tony is an acclaimed director and actor who's career has seen him throughout the UK. His Lyceum directing credits include The Belle's Stratagem, Thon Man Moliere, The Venetian Twins, Long Day''s Journey into Night, A Taste of Honey, Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off, The Cherry Orchard, Laurel and Hardy and many more.
