The Lorax for Schools

'Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot.
Nothing is going to get better
It's not"

To mark Cop26 in Glasgow, The Lyceum has joined forces with The Old Vic to stream the IN CAMERA production of Dr Seuss's The Lorax FREE  to schools in Scotland on

David Greig and Charlie Fink’s Olivier Award-nominated adaptation, directed by Max Webster, is inventively transformed into a semi-staged pint-size version with its central message of protecting the planet.

Written 50 years ago, The Lorax’s magical battle to save his beloved truffula trees and the whole of Paradise Valley from the go-getting Once-ler resonates today louder than ever.

All performances will offer audio description and captioning.

Multiple classes within your school can watch, but each class teacher will need to book their free ticket separately. Your unique link can only be used to watch on one device – if you share it with another class and they join before you, you won't be able to join.

Once you've booked your ticket you'll be sent your unique joining details at least 12 hours in advance of the performance. Whilst these are recordings, they won't be available on demand so you will need to book a performance date and time that you can attend – you'll need to make sure you take your seat in time for the start of the show.
