The Snow Queen workshops

WORKSHOPS
Join us on a magical journey to the Frozen Kingdom where we will get the chance to explore a world of snow, ice palaces and magical creatures. In these workshops, students will get the chance to play fun and exciting drama games and explore the stories and characters from the production through various drama and acting exercises. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine our workshop in school with seeing a performance of the show. These workshops can be suited towards either early years or primary school students and we can tailor our work to the needs and demands of schools / groups if you have any special requirements.

Example workshops:

P1 – 4

A guided adventure of the story. Become the magical friends that Gerda meets along the way and help her save her brother Kei from the clutches of the evil Snow Queen.

A teacher in role workshop exploring teamwork, problem solving and imagination. Classes will be guided through the world of the Snow Queen, through the snow and wind, through the cold and ice, meeting magical creatures along the way who join them in their quest. How will they solve the puzzles they come across and make it safely to the Snow Queen’s castle before solving one last puzzle to free Kei and save the day?

P5 – 7

A self-guided adventure of the story. Become the storytellers of The Snow Queen. A village has gathered around a bonfire to tell the story of The Snow Queen – bring the story to life with scenes and games and re-enact the adventure of Gerda.

A teacher-lead, storytelling workshop exploring teamwork, problem solving and imagination. Classes will tell the story of The Snow Queen, bringing to life scenes and characters along the way through games and challenges. Will they change the story along the way or keep true to the tale, after all a story is made by the storyteller – what would you change?
