Summer on Stage 2022

Summer on Stage 2022

We are delighted to bring our ever-popular Summer on Stage project back for 2022. Summer on Stage offers great value theatre courses, providing the opportunity for young people to learn new theatre and general skills and make plenty of friends during the Summer break.

Summer on Stage also provides the unique opportunity to develop performance and backstage skills in Scotland's leading producing theatre, followed by the opportunity to perform on the Lyceum's main stage - just one example of The Lyceum's dedication to developing Scotland’s considerable indigenous talents!

If you’re passionate about performing, want to learn about the technical aspects of Theatre or are just looking for a new challenge this Summer, check out the courses below. This year, the theme is ‘fate’, and the productions will tell stories that explore the idea of pre-destined moments, characters that are in the right place at the right time and tales which are written in the stars and woven into the tapestry of time.

We can’t wait to welcome you!

Competitions & Offers
As part of our celebration of the return of Summer on Stage 2022, we will be running a competition for Summer on Stage 2022 attendees and an offer to those who are looking to attend:

Attendees' Competition
All those booked onto one of Summer on Stage 2022's four courses will be put into a prize draw for the chance to win a free place on a course of their choosing in Summer on Stage 2023. The fun doesn't stop here...
Sibling Discount
At The Lyceum we don't want any child to miss out on the opportunity to participate in Youth Theatre, which is why bursary places have long been at the forefront of how Lyceum Youth Theatre operates. However, we recognise that rises in the cost of living are making it much harder for everyone to afford Summer on Stage 2022.
All those booking multiple places for siblings on Summer on Stage 2022 will be entitled to 50% off the cheapest course.
There will be some changes and modifications to previous Summer on Stage seasons to enable us to work together with safety and care, whilst ensuring young people have the opportunity to perform on our main stage.

Please note that we are having to operate on a reduced number of places this year so early booking is recommended.
