Short Day Workshops

Our adult programme aims to give our audiences added insight into the process behind each main stage show. Our programme provides a range of practical workshops with different practices to suit each show such as directing, acting, devising, creative writing and musical direction. These classes are ideal for theatre enthusiasts and we welcome people of all skill levels, abilities and experience.

Touching the Void

Devising - Autobiographical Theatre

 “Life can deal you an amazing hand…” so why not use it as inspiration or a tool when devising theatre? Interested in creating theatre from scratch? Then come along to our devising workshop with one of our professional drama artists to explore our production of Touching the Void. Using autobiographical stories, participants will explore key tools needed when creating theatre such as acting, storytelling and writing.

Local Hero: Writing
Scottish Stories

Join a professional playwright and get the chance to explore our World Premiere production of Local Hero in this writing workshop. Using key excerpts participants will get the chance to work with a playwright and develop their writing skills. Participants will also get the chance to learn about our Artistic Director, David Greig’s key ideas when writing and programming this particular story and its relation to other Scottish Stories.
