7 Billion Others And Me

PRIOR TO PERFORMANCES OF UNION THE LYCEUM YOUTH THEATRE PRESENTS

7 Billion Others And Me

Directed by Christie O’Carroll
Devised by the Company

In 1930 by request, the people of St Kilda, the most remote part of Scotland, were evacuated. It is thought that only one of the original inhabitants is still alive. The world’s population has since hit 7 billion.

LYT don’t want to give you a history lesson, some of you have lived more than they have anyway. What we do want to do is explore what it is like to live in a world where there are more people living than have ever before, and what it means to be from a tiny country with a big reputation that’s about to make a huge decision.
