A Timberlake Wertenbaker Soundstage Premiere
The Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh and Pitlochry Festival Theatre present a new play (title TBA) by Timberlake Wertenbaker in association with Naked Productions Ltd.
To conclude our season of Sound Stage plays, we have commissioned a brand new play from celebrated British playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker which will take a look at the state of our world and our relationship to nature and the environment.
Described by The Washington Post as "the doyenne of political theatre,” her 1991 play Our Counry’s Good received six Tony Nominations and in 2016 her play Jefferson’s Garden set in the aftermath of the American Revolution and tackling ideas of freedom and racial dicision at the birth of a Nation, won the Writers Guild of America’s best new play award.
