The Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh and Pitlochry Festival Theatre present BLACK DIAMONDS AND THE BLUE BRAZIL by Gary McNair, Adapted from the book by Ron Ferguson, in association with Naked Productions Ltd and the Stephen Dunn Theatre Fund.

The fifth play in our Sound Stage season, Black Diamonds and the Blue Brazil is freely adapted from the books of Ron Ferguson – Coal, Cowdenbeath and Football dreams of glory come together in a story about a father a daughter and what it means to succeed.

Gary McNair has produced work with and for many of Scotland's major theatre companies, and his work has been translated into several languages and performed around the world.

His most recent work includes A Gambler's Guide to Dying, Locker Room Talk, Square Go and After the cuts.

Sound Stage is a new audio-digital platform offering audiences the chance to have an ‘at home theatre experience’ designed by theatre makers and leading audio digital technologists. Soak in the virtual theatre atmosphere, mingle with other theatre-goers, bring your drinks and chatter in a virtual bar; arrange to meet a friend from anywhere in the world! There will be a call bell to take your 'seats', and post-show talks too. We'll meet you there!
