Senior Performance Course: Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare

One of the first love stories ever to be written, Romeo & Juliet is a tale of two star-crossed lovers and their family differences. Reimagined in an old Hollywood setting, the production will be an energetic love letter to teenage angst and self-expression with the Capulets being the picture of 1940’s suburbia while the Montagues are eerie and gothic. Juliet commits the ultimate act of adolescent rebellion – she gets a boyfriend with a leather jacket and a motorcycle who also happens to be the son of her father’s sworn enemy...

Suitable for ages 14-19, this performance course is for those interested in improving their skills working on classical texts, and who want to build their confidence performing as an ensemble.

Directed by Sophie Howell.
