Freelance Recruitment Evening

On Wednesday 26th June 2019, 6.30pm The Lyceum's Creative Learning team is holding a freelance recruitment evening. We are interested in meeting people with a wide experience of delivering drama, we are, at the moment, particularly looking for individuals who have experience in Youth Theatre and schools work as we have vacancies in our programme for staff in the autumn. Due to a significantly expanded programme in the upcoming season, The Lyceum's Creative Learning team is looking to increase its pool of freelance drama tutors and assistants.

Deadline: Thursday 20 June, 1pm. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

On the day
Arrival will be from 6.30pm, with the session to run from 7-9pm. This is designed as opportunity to meet new freelance practitioners and share information about The Lyceum’s Creative Learning programme. Current activity includes a Youth Theatre of 350 members, a programme of workshops and talks linked to the season shows, drama classes for people 60+, schools workshops, international workshops and a large participatory strand of work delivered in the autumn which involves primary Schools, ASN schools and community groups across the city.

The evening will begin with an informal networking opportunity over tea and coffee, a short talk about the Creative Learning Department’s current areas of work, and details of specific upcoming opportunities. Attendees will then be asked to share a short practical activity or game with the rest of the group. More detail will follow on confirmation of a place.
