Travelling to the Lyceum

Arriving by Bike
There are two bike parking points near the Lyceum - one just off Lothian Road, near to the Usher Hall and Nando's, and another directly outside the Lyceum's Box Office on the corner of Grindlay Street and Cornwall Street. Neither are owned or run by The Lyceum, but both provide space for bikes to be securely chained up, more information about cycling in Edinburgh.

Arriving by Bus
Local buses that stop near the theatre include numbers 1, 10, 11, 15, 15A, 16, 24, 34, 47 all stopping on Lothian Road outside/opposite the Usher Hall, and the number 2 stopping on Bread Street (eastbound only) just after the junction with Lothian Road.

Arriving by Taxi
Taxis can drop passengers off, (and pick them up) on Grindlay Street, immediately outside The Lyceum foyer. If you would like a member of our Front of House staff to arrange a taxi for you they will be glad to assist. There is a taxi rank a on Lothian Road, just outside the Sheraton Hotel (opposite the Usher Hall).

Arriving by Train
We are approximately 20 minutes walk from both Haymarket and Waverley train station. For train times and information, please visit Scotrail.

Walking from Haymarket Station: Exit station and turn right. Walk up Morrison Street for approximately 10 minutes, then turn left down Lothian Road. Turn right onto Grindlay Street, passing the Usher Hall on your left - The Lyceum will be immediately ahead of you.

Walking from Waverley Station: Exit onto Princes Street, turn left proceeding along Princes Street for approximately 10 minutes. When you reach St John's Church, turn left  onto Lothian Road. Walk up Lothian Road for approximately 5 minutes, turn left onto Grindlay Street, passing Usher Hall on your left - The Lyceum will be immediately ahead of you.

Arriving by Car
Nearby parking options include NCP car parks on Castle Terrace and Semple Street (approximately 5 and 10 minutes walk respectively).
Onstreet parking nearby is very limited, with resident-only bays in the majority of local streets, and only a handful of ticketed bays for general use.
