Cinderella content advice

This production contains a scene with comic violence and blood.

In the middle of the second half of the performance, the step-mother wields a plastic cleaver, and chops off the toes of the step-sister to make her foot fit it into the boot. Before she does this, the step-mother will step forward and say ‘if any of you don’t want to see this, close your eyes and cover your ears’. 

There are sound effects to go with the chopping movements. After this scene, there is stage blood on a sock and a rag. For schools performances there will be no blood shown. After the scene, the step-sister is taken to a doctor to get her toes put back on, and is seen dancing at the end of the show.
