This year the 14–18-year-olds will be bringing to life Patrick Barlow’s Olivier Award winning whodunnit, The 39 Steps.

When a boring man meets a spy and takes her home, little does he know his whole life is about to change forever.

Working as an ensemble we will piece together this theatrical tour de force in just under three weeks. From a chase on the Flying Scotsman, a death-defying plane crash and with over 139 roles to be filled by the cast, this play really has it all.

This performance course is for those interested in building their confidence as a performer, gaining acting experience with likeminded individuals and working as an ensemble to create a full-scale performance on the Lyceum stage.

Course Dates

Tuesday 2nd July - Saturday 20th July: 10am - 4.30pm each day. (not weekends, excluding Saturday 20th July)

Later end times of approximately 10pm will feature on Friday 19th and earlier finish of around 5pm on Saturday 20th July to allow for Dress Rehearsals and performances. Exact timings will be confirmed with participants at the beginning of the project.

Early Bird & LYT Members: £425

Public Early Bird – Between the dates Monday 11th March – Sunday 24th March

Deposits

50% deposits are available at time of booking. All deposits must be paid over the phone – only full payments may be processed through the website. All courses must be paid in full by Friday 21st June.

Bursaries

A limited number of bursary places are available for each of our Summer on Stage courses and will be allocated by an application/ballot process – enquiries should be sent to lyt@lyceum.org.uk.
