Job Description

The singers will comprise the Chorus/Choir in our forthcoming production of The Outrun, directed by Vicky Featherstone, composed by Luke Sutherland, adapted by Stef Smith and co-produced with the Edinburgh International Festival.

The Outrun is the world premiere of the adaptation of Amy Liptrot’s hugely popular memoir, which will run from 31st July – 24th August as a flagship production of the Edinburgh International Festival. The Chorus/Choir will be present onstage throughout the production and will join three other actor-singers, who will also perform with them.

We are looking for singers who:

  • live in/have a base in Scotland
  • are available across the below rehearsal/production/performance dates
  • are comfortable with/have some stage experience (i.e., some spoken lines and movement on stage)
  • are available for 2 weeks of rehearsals (specific weeks tbc), 1 production week, and 3 weeks of performances, for 6 weeks of engagement in total (see full schedule below)

Chorus members will be paid as per Equity’s 24-25 rates for MRSL Grade 1 Theatres, which is currently £612.68 per week.
