We are recruiting for a Marketing Campaigns Officer to join our Marketing department at The Lyceum.
The Campaigns Marketing Officer is a key operational role in the busy Audiences and Commercial Team at The Lyceum, working with the Head of Marketing to promote all areas of The Lyceum’s work.
The Campaigns Marketing Officer will help plan, research, develop and implement The Lyceum’s generic and show specific marketing campaigns. The post also supports the planning and implementation of campaign activity for our Development, Creative Learning and Events departments, as well as developing audiences for The Lyceum’s programme.

Job Description
Main Duties
Campaigns
- Support the Head of Marketing in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of creative and effective marketing campaigns for all productions.
- Support Head of Marketing in the management of print and digital advertising campaigns.
- Writing copy for newsletters, programmes, press releases and Season brochures.
- Work with our designers and printers to produce marketing materials for digital and print media with a particular responsibility for show programmes.
- Follow all Spektrix procedures and liaise with Development team to ensure sponsors and funders are correctly credited and acknowledged across all promotional materials.
- Use The Lyceum’s CRM and ticketing system Spektrix to pull customer lists for on and offline mailings and use in campaign evaluation.
- Maintain front of house displays, external signage and print stocks.
- To provide marketing support for Creative Learning and Development projects as required.
- To actively support and work with the cross-department data management group on the housekeeping of Spektrix and on sales reports and campaign evaluation.
Digotal Tools & Evaluation
- Update the company website and email campaigns using online content management systems and platforms such as Dot Mailer.
- Use the Spektrix CRM system to pull audience data for targeted mailings, campaign analysis, and reporting.
- Contribute to the cross-departmental data group on CRM maintenance and insights to inform future marketing work.
Audience Development:
- Participate in audience development strategy sessions and outreach planning.
- Foster relationships with local partners, businesses, arts groups, and community stakeholders to support shared promotional goals.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity are embedded in all communications, and enhance access messaging both internally and externally.
- Assist in delivering collaborative audience development initiatives with other cultural organisations.
- Maintain relationships with existing networks and seek promotional opportunities with relevant arts organisations.
Other Duties
- Attend and support Lyceum productions and events, including press nights and special functions.
- Represent The Lyceum at external events, as agreed with the Head of Marketing
- Work collaboratively within the Audiences and Commercial and Customer Services Teams, contributing positively to the wider organisation.
- Adhere to all internal policies, including safeguarding, health & safety, and environmental standards.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Head of Marketing.
Person Specification
Essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent copywriting skills - the ability to write powerful copy in our tone of voice, whether that's opening comments for the season, press release or show descriptions.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Digitally Confident with experience of content management systems, basic graphics packages, social media platforms and Microsoft packages.
- Experience of creating engaging social media content and advertising. Self-motivated yet good team player.
- Demonstrable experience of liaising and managing day to day relations with external suppliers and internal and external partners.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- A confident, outgoing, and professional manner, with a pragmatic approach to work.
- A genuine enthusiasm for theatre.
Desirable
- Experience of working with a CRM system.
- Experience of creating online content and working with online and e-mail marketing platforms.
- An understanding of marketing practices and principles.
