The Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh is delighted to welcome Liz King as the theatre’s new Producer, replacing Harriet Mackie who leaves at the end of October.
Arriving from award-winning Kneehigh, an internationally acclaimed theatre company based in Cornwall, Liz will join The Lyceum on a full-time basis in December.
Speaking of the appointment, Artistic Director David Greig said: “I’m delighted that Liz will be joining us as Producer at the Lyceum. Her work with Kneehigh has brought her unrivalled experience of everything from British regional theatre, international venues, from commercial work to presenting work in Cornwall in their Asylum tent. She knows how to nurture work from its tiniest inception all the way through to its widest audiences. She cares passionately about the art, and also about the artists. She’s the right person to continue the Lyceum’s vision of producing the best possible work in Edinburgh and taking that work far and wide. She’ll be a great new addition to the Scottish theatre making landscape and The Lyceum team.”
Liz King said: “I am thrilled to be joining David, Mike and the team at The Lyceum. The ambition of the theatre and calibre of the work is so exciting, as is the range of partners they collaborate with, both nationally and internationally. I very much look forward to getting to know everyone there and being a part of its future”
