Theatre credits include: The Summertime is Come, The Magistrate, Heartbreak House, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Monarch of the Glen, Blithe Spirit, Heritage, North and South, Sherlock Holmes: A Study in Lipstick, Private Lives (Pitlochry Festival Theatre), Bold Girls (Citizens Theatre).

Deirdre graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 1991. She has worked for many theatre companies, including the Tron Theatre, Perth Rep and 7:84 Theatre.
