Sara Stewart

Sara trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama.

Her numerous film credits include Transformers, The Last Knight, Face of an Angel, Philomena, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Sightseers, Genova, Empire of Light and Batman Begins. Sara has worked with award-winning directors Michael Winterbottom, Stephen Frears, John Madden, David Mamet, Sam Mendes, Ben Wheatley and Christopher Nolan.

Notable TV credits include Doctor Foster, The Night Manager, Unforgotten, Fresh Meat, Quirke, The Take, Sugar Rush, La Fortuna and Cell 8. Recent credits include State of the Union 2, which is available to watch on BBC iPlayer/AMC+, Dalgleish, Grace and Mrs Sidhu Investigates. She has just finished filming Grantchester.

On stage, Sara has played leading roles at the National Theatre, RSC, Donmar Warehouse, the Old Vic and the Royal Court. In the West End, she played Esther in The Price, Myra in Hay Fever, Claudia in Enron and most recently Minerva McGonagall in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
