So much happens behind the scenes at the Lyceum and we’d love to give you special access! Our tours allow you to get up close to our work by exploring spaces not usually open to members of the public.

Lyceum Theatre: Tour our grand Victorian building, learning about its history and the company’s journey through the years. Visit our working costume room, find out about the technical side of a production and even take centre stage under our beautiful proscenium arch!

(Location 30b Grindlay Street, EH3 9AX)

Roseburn: Our workshops are where our set and costumes are made and stored. View our library of model boxes, learn how sets are made and perhaps try on an item of costume or two when exploring our wardrobe archive! If we have a production currently under construction you will be able to see our team at work.

(Location 29 Roseburn Street, EH12 5PE)

Tour length: 75 minutes

Cost: £8 per person (minimum of 10 people per booking)

Group Size: The maximum number of people we can tour at one time is 25.

Ages: Tours are most suitable for ages 5+ and we ask that all children are accompanied by an adult.

Accessibility: Some of our spaces have low ceilings and are accessed by stairs – please let us know of any access needs at the time of booking and we will design the most appropriate route.

Availability: Please note that both our venues are working buildings and tours are only available around production activity, by prearrangement.

How to book: get in touch with a member of the Creative Learning team at learning@lyceum.org.uk, detailing the tour location you would like and your preferred date(s) and time(s). A member of the team will get in touch to take your booking forward.
