Artists in schools

The Royal Lyceum Theatre in Residence Programme is an innovative, interdisciplinary learning programme for primary-age children.

The residency sees a drama artist placed in a primary school up to two days/week for a full academic year to:

  • support the development of teachers’ skills in using drama and expressive arts practices in classroom settings
  • develop an archive of drama-based teaching resources linked to the Curriculum for Excellence
  • increase drama provision in the school through the delivery of practical sessions with pupils

There is no cost to schools to take part.

Please note: we have now filled our school's places for this academic year.

Applications for the 24/25 applications open soon.
