Hannah Mbuya
Hannah Mbuya is a London-based tuba player, composer, and arranger. As well as performing as a member of Mercury-nominated 10-piece seed., Chineke! Orchestra and Nu Civilisation, other collaborations have included artists and projects such as Anna Meredith, Jon Batiste, Soweto Kinch, Jason Moran's Harlem Hellfighters, Lafawndah's Fifth Season, and Peter Wiegold's Third Orchestra, in addition to appearances with horn sections alongside artists including Solange, Joy Anonymous, and Arlo Parks.
Theatre credits include: I, Joan (2022), A Midsummer Night's Dream (2023), Richard III (2024), and Hansel and Gretel (2024) at Shakespeare's Globe.
Hannah trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance and the Royal College of Music.
