This season we have a range of exciting opportunities for schools to engage with our Main Stage Productions through schools performances, resource packs, workshops and post-show discussions.

1984 – Schools Workshop

Step into the world of 1984 – deepen your pupils’ knowledge and experience of this production with our interactive workshop, that will take place in your school.

 

Designed to explore the text and production, this workshop will benefit those studying English and Drama.
 

What to expect

 

  • Practical, interactive workshop based on Curriculum for Excellence Experiences and Outcomes
  • A range of activities and games designed to draw out elements of the play's characters and themes
  • Opportunities to reflect on the production and discuss pupils’ responses
  • A free digital resource pack to support continued learning.

  • Knowledge of the original text and its process of adaptation for the stage
  • Explore performance skills
  • Build confidence, team work, social interaction and communication skills
     
A Christmas Carol - Schools Workshop

Our A Christmas Carol workshops are the perfect way for pupils to explore the Dickensian tale in greater depth. In this lively workshop the pupils will look at key scenes and characters and experience the joy of staging their own performance.


 

For our Christmas workshops we have two options available to book:


 

  • Tiny Tim – for pupils in P5-7
  • Scrooge – for pupils in S1-3

Romeo & Juliet - Post-show discussions

Stay a while longer in fair Verona!
 

We will be hosting post-show discussions with members of the cast and crew from Romeo & Juliet after the school performances.

 

What to expect

 

  • Pupils and teachers planning to attend will be asked to submit their questions ahead of time.
  • The post-show talks are particularly suitable for those studying English and Drama however, all pupils from S1-6 are welcome to attend.
  • Schools will receive a free digital resource pack exploring how the production was brought to life, with content aligned to the design elements of the Higher Drama curriculum.
